C had Borowiak, Greg McCaul, Chris Borowiak and Scott Czarnick caught 8 shibi and 11 aku and 2 sharks for some real fun action today
Right at dawn we got going on this day of 25 kph trades, a relativly nice day going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi. Then we set up and trolled outside, we foung 1 open school and had some mahi bite but did not hookup. Back at the buoy we baited and hooked a nice shibi and got it. Then a shark hooked up and Greg reeled it in and we gave it a stern talking to and let it go. Then we baited some more and another shark hooked up and Scott reeled it almost to the boat and it came off the hook. More jigging and the aku were biting good lots of doubles. When we baited again we got 3 more nice shibi. These folks did great on this rough day. back in the harbor I was the only one to eat a shibi eyeball by request. Good going guys it was fun. Stefan Zwicky, Luca Zwicky, John Kowitz, Kabet Sterk caught 1 mahi and 1 ahah or needlefish
In the dark with lots of wind and rain going on with 30 kph trades blowing we headed for the west side to hide from the wind. At a west side ledge we jigged and caught some bait. then we trolled outside and came back and baited the ledge, no hits so we went to the north side. There we baited and eventulally hooked a ahaha and got it. then a mahi got hooked and we landed it too. The whales were just going off all around us on the ledge. Back in the harbor only Stefan and Luca were willing to eat mahi eyeballs, good going guys you did great today. Kabet hope to see you next time you make it to Hawaii. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed hour off we go with 25 to 30 kph trades blowing and raining too headed to my favorite buoy. At the buoy a mahi hit as we made our first pass and ti came all the way to the boat and came off at gaff. Then we baited and got a shibi on our first pass and then lost a few more. Then we jigged and caught some small shibi and aku and ran an aku live. When we baited again we took a double and landed them both. then on our last pass we hooked a shark that John reeled in almost to the boat before it broke the leader, it gave him a real serious fight. Justin and Chelsee Bass caught 2 mahi 1 shibi and 2 kawakawa for some fun fishing on this rough day
We got going in the dark on this day of 25++ trades going to a west side buoy. At the buoy there was nothing but big white caps roaming the landscape, so we trolled back inside and baited the ledge on the west side of the point. We had a few bites but no hookups. So we went to the north side of the point and took a mahi hit trolling and Justin landed a nice mahi. Then we baited and eventually took a triple, 1 shibi and 2 kawakawa and we got them all. Then one more mahi ate a bait and we got it too. Back in the harbor Justin was bold enough to eat a mahi eyeball without hesitation, good going you guys did great today on this rough day of big seas, I hope you can come back and fish with us again some day. Aloha Capt Rusty

Joe Naciando, Mike Burke, Sean Burke and Josh Naciando caught 4 shibi and 20 aku for an action packed day of fishing
Right on time off we go with 10 kph variable winds going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. They were biting real good and it was doubles most of the time. Then we set up and trolled outside but only found one aku school and it did not bite. We ended up at another buoy and it looked dead so we kept going. Then we found a school of aku and took a hit and Josh landed a 23 pound aku. Eventually we ended up on the ledge and we took a few hits before we landed a shibi. There were whales absolutly every where you looked in there. Then we took a shibi hit trolling and Mike got a nice shibi. In the harbor only Mike was bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball quite gladly. Good going men you were fun to have aboard. Aloha Capt Rusty

Zain and Jenni Lakhani, Greg and Meredith Wagner, Shane and Natalie Harden caught 1 mahi 1 shibi and 14 aku for a real fun day of fishing
With the dark off we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. We were seeing whales all the way out to the buoy, they were all around. The buoy had no birds around it so we kept going outside. We found an aku school and took a double and landed one big 20 pound aku. Then we took another double and got one more big one and then they quit biting. We then took a mahi hit and Greg landed a nice mahi. We ended up back at the buoy and we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. Then we had something eat an aku as it got reeled in and screamed out 200 yards of line before it straightened the hook on a clarke spoon and came off, it was big but don't know what it was. Then Meredith caught our only shibi. Back in the harbor all the guys and Jenni ate eyeballs and Greg and Zain even had seconds, good goin guys, you were fun to have aboard. Aloha Capt Rusty
